***** H1N1 Flu Information*****

While there are no reported cases at this time, Pineview Soccer recognizes the severity of the H1N1 flu virus and is asking everyone associated with our league to follow some guidelines to help combat the spread.

At this time, the best thing someone can do to help keep this illness from affecting the team is STAY HOME WHEN SICK so the flu is not spread to others. It is suggested that players, coaches and parents be required to stay home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication (Tylenol, Ibuprofen). If a player does have the flu, please ask the parent to contact the coach so he/she can make the other team members aware and parents can be on the watch for flu symptoms. (A coach should also contact the team members if he/she has the flu.) The coach/association should understand that a player with the flu will be out 5-7 days at a minimum if they have the H1N1 flu. If you would like additional information, please visit www.flu.gov.

We advise that you download the complete PDF document that outlines symptoms and precautions by clicking here.

*****RAINOUTS*****

Starting with the Fall 2007 Season, Pineview/Pine Grove Soccer Club (and not Lexington County Recreation) will be responsible for calling off games due to inclement weather at the Old Barnwell Road soccer complex. Games will be called due to thunder/lightning as near to 12:30pm as possible on game day. Age level coordinators will call coaches as soon as a decision has been made.  In the majority of instances, rainout games will not be rescheduled.
